Welcome to DriveGuide!
DriveGuide is your personal audio tour companion for exploring Yellowstone National Park. Featuring original narration by Teddy Garland—the park expert behind "Explore Yellowstone Like A Local"—this app automatically plays interesting facts and stories about locations as you drive through the park.
No cell service needed! Once you download the tour, everything works offline.
Getting Started
Step 1: Download the Tour Before You Go
Important: Download the tour content while you have a Wi-Fi or cellular connection—ideally before entering the park.
Open the DriveGuide app
The app will automatically begin include the Yellowstone map and audio tour
Tip: We recommend downloading while connected to Wi-Fi to save cellular data.
Using DriveGuide

Tips for Best Results
Start fresh each trip — Open the app and let it fully load before starting your drive
Keep your phone charged — GPS and audio use battery power. We recommend keeping your phone plugged in
Mount your phone — Use a dashboard or vent mount so you can see the map safely while driving. We recommend not touching your phone while driving.
Connect to your car speakers — For the best experience, connect via Bluetooth or an aux cable
Keep the app open — Audio triggers only work when DriveGuide is the active app on your screen
Allow location access — When the app asks for location permission, choose "Allow While Using App" for the best experience
Troubleshooting
Audio isn't playing:
Make sure your phone's volume is turned up
Check that the app has permission to use your location
Ensure you're not in Silent mode (check the switch on the side of your iPhone)
Map isn't showing my location:
Make sure Location Services are turned on in your phone's Settings
